Linkle's Crossbows are a set of unique crossbows that can be upgraded into Linkle's Enhanced Crossbows.
By default, it is slightly weaker than a standard Crossbow, with the lesser weight of a normal Dwarven Bow. After being reforged, it becomes the same strength as a Dwarven Crossbow. Both variants fire faster than vanilla crossbows and the Hero's Crossbow.
The Crossbow deals increased critical damage (x2.06 base damage) and the Enhanced Crossbow deals slightly less (x1.82 base damage). Both variants have the standard critical multiplier of x1.0.
While it initially has no enchantment (and thus may be enchanted), the Crossbow ignores 25% of enemy armor. Unlike the Hero's Crossbow, it does not count as a Silver weapon and deals no extra damage to undead, despite having its weapon material defined as Silver.
Once enhanced, the Crossbow gains a 25% chance to stagger enemies. It also deals 25 points of extra damage to dragons, causing Dragonrend-like blue visuals on a hit.
Linkle's Crossbow may be tempered with Quicksilver Ingots.

The first Linkle's Crossbow is located within the Kakariko Barracks in Kakariko Village. It can be found on a lower shelf alongside Hylian Soldier equipment.
A second Crossbow is held by Vylintyn Mohkcshivek, who can be found in the Forgotten Cavern.

Lore[]
The presence of Linkle's Crossbow indicates that she was present during the Last Great War of Hyrule. The description of the crossbow implies she was thought of as a hero in her own right. It remains unknown whether Linkle was a Hylian who took up arms to fight or was brought to Hyrule during the Battle of a Thousand Heroes.
Background and Inspiration[]
Linkle's Crossbow was added in version 6.3.0 alongside the Forgotten Cavern and Vylintyn. It was originally a vanilla Crossbow retextured to resemble the default weapon used by Linkle in Hyrule Warriors. In version 6.6.2, it was given a unique model made by Dralkkin, with distinct textures to differentiate between its two power states.
The presence of two crossbows reflects Linkle's fighting style of dual-wielding two crossbows. However, they were implemented as standard two-handed crossbows, simply because JKalenad did not feel the necessity to implement one-handed crossbows when Dawnguard's crossbows already functioned quite well.
