The Giant's Knife can be found in Fallowstone Cave. It can later be reforged into the Biggoron's Sword.

The Giant's Knife is equal in strength to an Iron Sword and weighs the same. However, its reach is shorter than a dagger, and it swings slightly faster than a war axe.

Biggoron's Sword

The Biggoron's Sword is equal in strength to a Dragonbone Greatsword, but swings slightly slower and weighs less. It can be crafted at a Terminan Forge with a Smithing skill above 50.

Giant's Ingot

Giant's Ingots are unique ingots of steel used to craft the Biggoron's Sword. They can be found in random Falmer loot, with three ingots in guaranteed locations. These guaranteed ingots can be found in Chillwind Depths, Gloomreach Hive, and Shimmermist Grotto.

Giant's Ingots can be reforged at a smelter into two normal steel ingots.

If the player has the Triforce of Knowledge, they can craft Giant's Ingots from 3 Steel Ingots and 2 Fire Salts.

Lore

The Biggoron's Sword was reforged during the Last Great War of Hyrule, but was destroyed in battle. Rather than reforge it again, Gorons melted down the blade to use for other weapons. Several additional Giant's Ingots were forged by Gorons to make weapons like the Biggoron's Sword. Toward the end of the war, the Gorons hid the Giant's Knife and scattered Giant's Ingots to prevent evil forces from using them. A stockpile of Ingots were kept in Death Mountain, but were destroyed when the volcano erupted during the war.

Background Information

The Biggoron's Sword was originally created by Christian of early CCRE for his Zelda OoT Equipment mod for Oblivion. It was then converted into Skyrim by DMagnus for JKalenad's standalone Giant's Knife and Biggoron's Sword mod. The Biggoron's Sword was later added to Relics of Hyrule, as the second item after the Master Sword.

The recipe to reforge the Biggoron's Sword is the first custom recipe in the mod.

For the sake of simplicity, the name "Giant's Knife" is used to refer to the broken sword, rather than a repaired but fragile sword as in Ocarina of Time.

Prior to version 6.4, the Giant's Knife was locked in a chest in Fallowstone Cave and required the player to venture into Chillwind Depths to find the key. In version 6.4 this was changed to streamline the process of obtaining the Biggoron's Sword, rendering the key useless. JKalenad has plans to give the key a secondary use.

Data exists within Relics of Hyrule for a recipe that allows the player to craft Giant's Ingots from steel. It is currently unused as it requires that the player is wearing the Giant's Mask, an item the player cannot obtain. JKalenad has plans to include the Giant's Mask in a future update, so this recipe may be used once the mask is implemented.
