The Water Temple is a dungeon located at the end of Aquatic Passage which is located in the Rorikstead Secret Grotto. It contains various pieces of Zora Equipment and most notably the Zora Forge and an Alteration Table

Walkthrough[]

Please note, some way to jump long distances like the Roc's Cape or Hover Boots is required to complete this dungeon as of right now. If you don't have it, you will need to get it before progressing to the end.

Entry[]

Upon entering the temple, you will be greeted by a Blue Tektite and two doors along the west wall the will close upon stepping into the hallway. Defeat the Tektite and proceed down the hallway, which ends in a sheer drop. Carefully maneuver down the ledges. Head to the eastern wall which will have a gate at the end of a short hallway. Enter the room to be greeted by a River Zora. Defeating it will net you a decent amount of Rupees as well as other random loot. Open the Zora chest against the north wall to get some Deku Nuts and the first small key. Take the key to the south side of the room and open the gate there. You will find a shield fragment on a table to the west of the door. Grab it and then turn the valve. This will raise the water level. Head back to the main chamber from here.

Underwater Lever Maze[]

From the Main Chamber, head to the western wall where you now have access to a locked gate higher up. Use the small key and proceed inside. There is a lever to the left of the door. Make sure you activate this then continue heading south. There is another gate here, as well as a table with a Zora Spear. Open the gate and you will come face to face with a puzzle and a bunch of traps. Pull the bottom-left lever in order to proceed. Be careful because some of the levers will trigger traps that you won't be able to escape.

Flipping them in the right order will open the way to the piston room. In the piston room there is another lever. There is also a Luminous Stone hidden in the brazier in the corner by the inactive piston. Activate the lever then proceed through the gate just east of there. You will find an orichalcum bar as well as the Zora Shortspear. Activate the lever in this room to open the way to the chest and the second small key. There is a Zora War Axe and a Zora Heavy Shield on the table next to the chest. Proceed back to the piston room and open the locked gate leading to the second valve room. You can find a Zora Trident on the eastern table, as well as a couple of Quicksilver ores and a Luminous Stone on the western one. Activate the valve to raise the water level further then proceed back to the main chamber.

Dual Valves[]

With the water level raised, you now have access to a hallway to the south, as well as the entrance to the temple. Proceed to the south corridor and go up the stairs. A River Zora Guardian will appear in the middle of the room. Defeat him to claim his loot. There is a chest half buried along the eastern wall with various bombs and rupees. Activate both valves to open a door back near the entrance to the dungeon. Enter the doorway and climb the stairs to find a Blue Tektite guarding a Luminous Geode, which will get you your third Luminous Stone. Turn the corner to encounter two Ice Keese, a Chilfos, and a Lizalfos brute. Near the way you came in you can find another Luminous Geode. There is a gossip stone by the ramp leading back to the main chamber. Climb the ramp and jump across the gorge.

Tower Parkour[]

Cross the bridge in front of you and turn right. Jump onto the stone outcrops to reach a ledge that continues upward. Jump the gap here to reach the next area. There are two levers here. Ignore the first one for now and activate the second one. Inside this room is the Dark Fairy and a dead River Zora. Defeat the fairy for a bottle of Great Fairy's Tears as well as some other loot. Head into the southern alcove to find another lever. The Longshot sits on the table next to it. Hit the lever to get the pistons going then head back to the hallway and activate the lever by the door. Stand on the big gear and activate the lever on the pipe next to it, causing the gear to begin rising. Upon reaching the top there will be two levers on the western pipe that lower the cog back down. Head down the east corridor for another Luminous Geode. When you have mined that, proceed down the west corridor to continue. This will lead you to the armory.

Water Temple Armory[]

On the eastern workbench you will find the Zora Robes, as well as the book Ocean Soul. You can craft and upgrade Zora weapons and armor here. The button activates the Zora Forge and valves move a small jet of water up and down in the forge itself. Once you have finished, go through the door on the left (facing the wall) to continue through the dungeon.

You will be met by an Ice Keese so take care of it and proceed onward to a shaft with a second giant gear elevator. Pull the top lever and the gear will rise in the middle. Pull the bottom lever to lower the gear again. There is a Zora chest containing Bomb Flowers on an eastern ledge, and nearby is a copy of Ruto's Passion. At the bottom of the shaft, underwater, there is a cache containing Legendary Pictograph 14 - Silver Centurion. Head into the room to the east and activate the lever to open the way back to the entrance. On the shelf just below the lever are River Zora Thrall and Summon River Zora spell tomes as well as the Broken Shield.
