Farore's Emerald is a unique gem and one of the Golden Goddess Gems.

Farore's Emerald can be activated in one's inventory to learn the Farore's Wind spell. Alternatively, it may be used to craft Spell Tome: Farore's Wind, which can in turn be used to learn the spell.
Having any of the Golden Goddess Gems is a prerequisite for awakening the Master Sword.
Location[]
Farore's Emerald is located at Lost Valley Redoubt. It can be found in an underwater Small Old Chest at the base of the waterfall, near a grate-covered drain. A blue fairy floats above the chest.
