Deku Nuts are organic weapons that can be thrown and explode upon impact, causing nearby enemies to be paralyzed for a brief period of time if near the explosion or hit by it directly.

They are often found in Deku Nut Clusters, which are often scattered in various areas, notable most Secret Grottos.

One in five Deku Nuts harvested from clusters are Mature Deku Nuts, which are similar to normal Deku Nuts, only having a bigger blast radius when compared to the normal ones.

Some enemies, like Lost Hylian Mages and Lost Hylian Scouts will often have them in their inventory and use them.

The Falmer Arbiter in Kamdelimar also can use Deku Nuts.

Lore[]

According to the Gossip Stones, Deku Nuts are a result of the migration of Deku Babas to Black Marsh. The plants that stayed in Skyrim adapted to the cold and became passive, producing only nuts, rather than carnivorous plants.

Background and Inspiration[]

Deku Nuts were added to Relics of Hyrule in version 6.3. Similarly to bombs, their function was modeled after work by JZBai for the Throwing Weapons Lite mod.

Deku Nuts are retextured Nordic Barnacles.
